Project details
A significant production expansion for ABZ Diervoeding in Eindhoven, where we were responsible for the steel and square silo construction of the two production towers. The first tower, nearly 50 meters high, houses the processing machines. From a height of 30 meters, 22 square storage cells for micro-components have been realized. These cells are a structural part of the tower and together provide a storage capacity of approximately 450 m3, equivalent to storing about 450 tons of raw materials high in the air.
The second tower contains 20 square macro-component storage cells with a combined storage capacity of 2,500 m3. The raw materials in these cells have a bulk density of approximately 800 kg/m3.
Thanks to the expansion of technical capabilities, ABZ Diervoeding can tailor feeds in detail to the customer’s requirements. The main principle is “every farmer has his own feed.” This sets the cooperative apart from providers of generic ready-made solutions, operating exclusively in the domestic market.
The expansion results from ABZ’s growing sales and increased demand for custom-made feeds. This has led to an enlargement of the production capacity of the Eindhoven facility, one of ABZ’s five locations. This city in North Brabant serves as an excellent base for supplying the numerous livestock farms in the region.

A complex project, partly due to the enormous height. But with all parties involved, we have truly created something significant, everything perfectly according to plan. The city of Eindhoven, and ABZ of course, has gained a skyscraper in the form of a magnificent silo tower!

5 ScheduleReliability is our most important pillar. Our construction planning is therefore well thought out. We take into account the transport route and its obstacles, the (often challenging) situation at the construction site and the local capacity. Result: final planning with delivery date.

6 AssemblyLed by a TSC supervisor, our experienced assembly team gets to work. We keep in regular contact about the progress in the meantime. With knowledge of local regulations and the right permits, we work safely and competently. Result: A carefully constructed new silo ready for use!

7 Completion and evaluationEvery completion is a moment of celebration. We are happy to evaluate the project together. Of course, because we want to see our work in action, but also to learn from practical experience and fine-tune details where necessary. Result: a long-term partnership.
