Brewing and Malting: Raw material storage
TSC realised a large silo project for Cambodia Brewery Ltd. in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. In total, 18 raw material cells have been built with a total capacity of 14,500 m3. 14 of the 18 cells have a capacity of more than 1000 m3. These cells had to be reinforced with tie rods. Only easy flowing products are stored in this warehouse, so the TSC sheet pile system proved to be the perfect solution.
The biggest challenge in this project was the size of the 14 large cells. The size of 6.0 x 6.0 metres is already rather unique, especially with the use of the sheet piling system in combination with the height. It was important to obtain sufficient strength and stability in these huge cells. By using tie rods, this has been achieved. This allowed us to drastically reduce the number of kilograms of steel required.
Procedure The regulations of the industry, the properties of the material, the geographical conditions of the construction site, the weather conditions in the region… we leave nothing to chance. We therefore work according to the TSC roadmap. This way, we work efficiently and do not overlook any detail. A solid approach for a solid result.
