For strengthening its southern African market position, Bakhresa is currently undertaking the re-generation of the old Union Flour Mill Building in Durban, turning it into a new 750T Flour Mill.
TSC Silos is selected to supply the square wheat tempering bins with special first-in-first-out hoppers. The project challenge lies in the national heritage status of the mill building.
It takes creativity and cleverness from TSC’s engineers to fit the silos into the existing building. Both construction wise as well as installation wise. But there’s no need for compassion, that’s what we like.
Bakhresa Group is one of the leading food and beverage companies in East Africa. Started in a humble manner with a small restaurant in the Port City of Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, in mid-seventies, it has now emerged as one of the prominent family owned business groups in the region.
The Group has its operations spread in Tanzania, Zanzibar, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia, Malawi and in Mozambique. Plans are in place to spread its wings to other countries. Bakhresa currently employs more than five thousand people.
